Our Mission
Beyond Reflections envisions a world where every gender-diverse person is free to be their authentic self.
Our mission is to deliver world-class mental well-being support to the trans+ community, allowing them to develop a deeper understanding of themselves and empowering them to navigate challenges, build resilience, and make healthy decisions about their future.
We believe that acceptance and education are cornerstones in creating an accepting society where everyone can express themselves however they choose. This is why we also deliver support to family members, friends, and other allies, as well as training for organizations.
Our members are at the heart of all we do and every decision we make.
Services for Members
We provide support in the form of face-to-face and online support groups, counselling, wellbeing drop-ins, and third-party hate-crime victim support.
We’re here to provide a safe space and our experienced case workers and counsellors are here to listen without passing judgement. All our support groups are either online or in accessible buildings that can be reached on public transport.
We also offer individual counselling and social support on a one-on-one basis to ensure we can tailor our support to your needs.
We run meet and greet safe social spaces in various locations
We run group and 1-2-1 mentoring by those further into their ‘journey’
We provide counselling - either for specific situations or for the ‘journey’
We provide coaching for friends, allies and partners
We offer mediation for relationships and families
We offer access to financial, legal and medical expertise
We are a third party hate crime reporting centre and can support you even if you don’t want to report
Volunteering
Volunteering with Beyond Reflections means you can really make a difference to a vulnerable and marginalised community.
Our volunteers carry out a range of activities such as hosting groups, counselling, helping us run events and social media and even behind the scenes in the office! You can also volunteer with us as a trustee.
Our volunteers are a wonderful mix of trans+ people and allies who want to help make the world a better place. Beyond Reflections provides a space for our volunteers to gain skills and experience and meet brilliant people along the way.

All of the revenues from our training and development activities go directly to our hardship funds to help those with the least capacity to pay. In this way, we never have to turn anyone away.
