Welcome to the New Chair of Trustees

I’m delighted to be joining Beyond Reflections as the new Chair of Trustees. My own experience as a trans person has been enhanced and supported having been a recipient of help from the charity. It is an honour to now be able to add something back to the charity in this role. 

I’m joining the charity in a time of change. So want to reassure everyone that we remain committed to delivering the service and support we have always done.

Firstly, I want to thank the outgoing Chair. For the time and effort they have spent getting the charity to where it is today. As well as thank Andi. The CEO, who has been the driving force for the charity over many years in a variety of roles. 

It’s important to me that we carry on their work to further build on their legacy. To continue to create an inclusive and innovative organisation that can help trans, non-binary and questioning people (as well as their friends and families) thrive in an increasingly difficult environment. 

It is important, therefore, that we at Beyond Reflections continue to quietly and purposefully provide support, help and counselling in a safe and private space for all our members and allies. 

Moving Forward

As a trans person myself, I’m aware of many of the issues as well as the joy of discovering myself. Struggling with the realities of work, family, and financial and social pressures. As an older person I hope we can work to avoid many of you having to wait as long as me to achieve the life you want. 

I am always keen to hear from people that need us as well as people that would like to support us – either as volunteers, financially or in terms of any ideas you may have to help us continue to innovate, grow and develop.
